Dress / boots / purse / earrings
Okay, first things first – the outfit. This is one of my favorite Amazon purchases EVER. I love this dress. It is cute, flattering and fun, and comes in a bunch of different colors. Perfect for a fun date night. The earrings are simple yet trendy, and I get TONS of compliments on this purse that cost less than $50! Also, apparently backstage dressing room lighting creates the most flattering mirror selfies – who knew š? Now onto the theater!
My husband and I (before the days of kids) used to live a train stop outside of New York City and would be able to catch great shows all the time!
Since we moved to a smaller city we hadnāt ventured out to any of the local theaters just assuming we wouldnāt enjoy it as much. Last night, however, I got to attend a special event at the newly renovated Open Stage in Harrisburg and it was awesome! I will definitely be taking my friends and family back for more. Iām especially interested in the upcoming showing of The Diary of Anne Frank or taking the kids to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
We saw Amelie: The Musical. It was sweet, fun and highly entertaining. There are more showings tonight and tomorrow, so if you are looking for something to do, check it out!
Before the show we enjoyed drinks at Open Stageās new St. Hilaire Bar – I loved this festive signature cocktail called āworldās best friend.ā The best part – you can bring drinks with you into the show!
The space is newly renovated, and definitely provides a wonderful alternative to your normal dinner and drinks night out. It would also be a super fun way to spend girls night! Oh, and mamas, they have theater classes for kids ages five and up!
You can find more information on classes, location, parking and upcoming shows on their website.
