Ahh, here I am, it’s 10:30 on Sunday night, and my laundry isn’t done, the papers aren’t organized and the house is just as messy as it was Friday. How do the weekends go so dang quick? At least we went to the grocery store. I don’t know about you guys, but we spend much of our weekend time at sporting events, mostly soccer. We seem to go pretty much non-stop with little time to do much housework or chores.
This was the first time I was able to see the three games my kids had (two soccer games, one baseball game). Usually they all occur at the exact same time, but this weekend we were lucky that they were all spaced out. Lord help me when all three of them are in sports together!
On Saturday, my oldest daughter and I were accidentally twinning with our outfits. I’m going to go ahead and surmise, and I have actually heard this, that tie-dye is back in style, and this color combination of grey and mint is trending. I just love mint everything lately. Also, apparently VSCO girls (I had to google that one) are all wearing oversized sweatshirts, so looks like my Saturday soccer mom style of wearing an oversized sweatshirt (which really is just something I’ve done since high school) has withstood time and is finally cool! If all is right in the world this trend will last for a good twenty years. Of course, my daughter was not as pleased with our matching mom-and-me looks but I am ignoring that.
I will say, this sweatshirt is super comfortable and great for wearing to weekend games or just lounging around! It’s also so reasonably priced. I got a small and it’s roomy. I paired it with old leggings, but found a pair on Amazon that are similar – the cutouts are a nice touch and I have others the same brand and they are great quality for the price.
For the fun tie dyed girls sweatshirt, I can’t link to it because it’s a Jersey Shore original. But I linked her leggings and her awesome water jug – I am loving mint everything and this water is no exception. It also comes in a great cherry color.
I have to say, and this might be annoying, but I enjoy the kids’ weekend sports. I know this period of our lives won’t last forever, and they have so much fun with their friends I’m just trying to make the most of it. Of course, I don’t love it as much when the games are at 8 a.m., but I am not entirely insane, lol!
