You guys – we are literally four days away from Halloween and I feel like I only got to half of my fall and Halloween bucket list items! I am not going to lie, I am kind of bummed. I wonder what we can squeeze in over the next few days? I have all sorts of expectations for pumpkin patch visits, pumpkin carving, baking fall goodies, doing fall and Halloween crafts, and then I run out of time! It doesn’t help that fall soccer and baseball take up a lot of our family’s time on the weekends, and then we work so that takes up a lot of life in general, but I still want to squeeze in all of these memory making opportunities!
Of course, its never too late to visit the pumpkin patch, so Luna and I went over the weekend to pick up a special little pumpkin for her, and we got some fabulous pictures in our matching outfits. She is the only child that will allow us to dress alike and I am going to keep this up for as long as I can.
Also these mommy and me yellow coats and Pom Pom sweaters are so cute and fun for fall, if you buy anything this fall it should be a yellow coat. I feel like it could also be worn in spring and it is currently on clearance for under $30! The women’s pom sweater is also really fun, and reasonably priced. I was impressed with the quality. It fit slightly small, so you may want to size up.
Also, these mommy and toddler white winter hats are awesome – warm, fuzzy, and stylish! I will let you in on a secret – this women’s hat is actually a girls (teenager, so it’s fine lol). Both of us are actually wearing old boots – Luna’s are Hans-me-downs from her sister. Outfits are all linked below!
So here is the list of fun fall activities we got to:
- Visit pumpkin patch – Done! We got to do this with friends on the kids’ day off and it was a blast
- Halloween craft – Also done! We did this really fun and easy Halloween craft making spiders. I found the craft here. There are a couple others I wanted to do but I will consider getting one done a success.
- Fall baking – Like the Halloween craft, I wanted to do more than just one baking event, but I did get these monster cookies made. Again, I found the recipe here, on Pinterest. They were really easy, and actually tasted more cake like than cookie like but the kids had a lot of fun making them.
Now here is the list of fall activities I still have on my list, think I can finish them in 4 days?!?!?
- Apple picking
- Corn Maze
- Pumpkin Carving
- Visit to HersheyPark in the Dark
- Hayride
- Jump in a leaf pile
- Fall Hike
- Drink apple cider (this is totally an activity)
- Make smores (this is kind of a year-round thing for us)
Similar sweater (so bummed I can’t find this H&M sweater online! When I do I will make sure to link it)

I’m loving those pompom sweaters! One of the best things about having a daughter is being able to do mommy/daughter matching outfits! I need to try those cookies! We love baking together.
