The Perfect Fri-yay Dress Style

So ever since I cleaned off the counters on this one side of my kitchen, I find myself taking all my pictures there. It is a wonder what shoving five months worth of mail and school papers into a garbage bag and sticking that bag into the closet will do to make your space look better (I wish I was kidding, lol)!

To me nothing actually says Friday like sweats, a glass of wine, and ordering a pizza from my favorite local joint – cauliflower crust for me, please! Occasionally, however, we do get dressed up and leave the house. My younger two kids don’t seem to mind when I get a sitter but my oldest makes it clear she prefers her mom and dad at home, with her, all the time.

Do you guys get sitters a lot? Do your kids seem to mind? I honestly believe I am a better mom when I have fun adult time planned that I can look forward to, and I think the same is true for most people. I am not saying that I go out Friday and Saturday every weekend, but if I get a night out every couple of weeks and have this to look forward it makes some of the day-to-day stresses seem more bearable!

Anyways, how adorable is this dress? A neighbor lent it to me and I tried to buy it from her but she wouldn’t let me – I mean, who could blame her it’s so dang cute and perfect for these fall months were it is still eighty degrees out but you don’t want to wear a sundress anymore. It also comes in tons of different colors, so if black isn’t your thing no worries!

I paired it with two trends I am obsessed with right now – some adorable Olive and Whisky animal print earrings and these camel color shoes – the brown with black trend may be the best thing that happened to my wardrobe since I no longer have to worry about having a pair of black shoes for every black dress.
