Friday Feels - fun and functional outfits for mom and kiddo

Happy Friday y’all! Today is officially the last day of school for my kidoos (I am not crying you’re crying), and I took the day off so we could do some fun things. I like to have a little buffer or “off’ time with them before the nanny/camps start next week so it feels like they get a little break. Of course, I still feel guilty we aren’t just on “break” all summer but read my post on summer breaks here when you have a chance and maybe you can commiserate with me on the pressures moms face when it comes to summer time.

On the agenda for we have a trip to the ice cream place, pool party at a friend’s and then off to our pool club for music and entertainment pool side while the kiddos swim. I always have a hard time dressing for a day like this where we go from in the pool, to poolside, to actually out in the real world but I am in love with this t-shirt dress (which is on sale right now for under $20) and comes in a bunch of fun colors. I feel like it is perfect for the pool or as a coverup, but also works for casual lunch/dinner out or even just errands. It is also super comfortable which helps.

I also just picked up these shoes and I am in love. Everyone that knows me knows how much I love animal print, and this shoes are stylish, comfortable, and a home-run when it comes to animal print. I feel like they work for dress up or dress down.

The bag is also perfect for poolside, dinner out, or drinks with friends. I have to be honest though, I feel like this headband truly makes the outfit. Did I mention how much I love animal prints? My 7 year-old daughter told me it was “beautiful” and asked for one so I know it must officially be cool. I got it , from an awesome Etsy store run by my friend Kathy.

Luna of course is trying to fit-in animal style with her sparkly rainbow kitty headband (that’s a thing) and this stylish romper that has really cool details on the straps. She insists on wearing her adidas sneakers, which are vitage but here are some other cute ones, and I also linked some recommended sandals below too.
